Tamarind Sweet and Sour Drink Recipe

Ingredients for Tamarind Sweet and Sour Drink
¼ cup tamarind (imli)
2 tbsp jaggery (gur)
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
½ cup sugar
½ tsp rock salt (sendha namak)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)



Method for preparing Tamarind Sweet and Sour Drink
1. Combine the tamarind and ½ cup of water in a small bowl, mix well and keep aside to soak for 1 hour.
2. Squeeze out the pulp from soaked tamarind using your hands.
3. Strain the tamarind pulp well using a strainer.
4. Combine all the ingredients with the strained tamarind pulp and 1 cup of chilled water in a mixer and blend till smooth.
5. Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl, add 3 cups of chilled water and mix well.
6. Serve chilled.
