Palak Kadhi Recipe
Ingredients
- 30-35Spinach Leaves
- 1 CupSour Yogurt Whisked
- 2 TablespoonsGram Flour (Besan)
- 2 TablespoonsOil
- 2-3Green Chilies
- 1 InchGinger Piece
- 7-8Dried Button Red Chilies
- 1 MediumOnion
- 1 TeaspoonMustard Seeds
- 1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds
- SaltTo Taste
- A PinchTurmeric Powder
- Step1In a bowl whisk gram flour and yogurt till smooth and add 2 cups water and whisk it again and cut the onion into small cubes and keep it aside
- Step2In a blender add green chilies, 10-12 spinach leaves, ginger, and a little water make a fine puree.
- Step3Pour this blended palak mixture to the yogurt mixture and mix it well and keep it aside.
- Step4In a deep non-stick pan add oil, add red chilies and fry it nicely and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and also add onion and fry till the onion softens.
- Step5Add the yogurt-palak mixture, salt, turmeric powder and mix it and cook on medium flame and stir till the gram flour gets cooked and the kadhi thickens.
- Step6Chop remaining spinach leaves and add to the kadhi and cook on a low flame for few minutes.
- Step7Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl and serve it hot.
