Palak Kadhi Recipe


Ingredients
  • 30-35Spinach Leaves
  • 1 CupSour Yogurt Whisked
  • 2 TablespoonsGram Flour (Besan)
  • 2 TablespoonsOil
  • 2-3Green Chilies
  • 1 InchGinger Piece
  • 7-8Dried Button Red Chilies
  • 1 MediumOnion
  • 1 TeaspoonMustard Seeds
  • 1 TeaspoonCumin Seeds
  • SaltTo Taste
  • A PinchTurmeric Powder

 Directions
  • Step1In a bowl whisk gram flour and yogurt till smooth and add 2 cups water and whisk it again and cut the onion into small cubes and keep it aside
  • Step2In a blender add green chilies, 10-12 spinach leaves, ginger, and a little water make a fine puree.
  • Step3Pour this blended palak mixture to the yogurt mixture and mix it well and keep it aside.
  • Step4In a deep non-stick pan add oil, add red chilies and fry it nicely and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and also add onion and fry till the onion softens.
  • Step5Add the yogurt-palak mixture, salt, turmeric powder and mix it and cook on medium flame and stir till the gram flour gets cooked and the kadhi thickens.
  • Step6Chop remaining spinach leaves and add to the kadhi and cook on a low flame for few minutes.
  • Step7Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl and serve it hot.
